BYC

Founded in 1993, BYC started at the Jade Buddha Temple located in Houston, Texas. Now it’s based at the American Bodhi Center located in Hempstead, Texas with many returning campers.

ABC

BYC is hosted at the American Bodhi Center located in Hempstead, Texas. The land was purchased in 2001 and officially opened on May 2, 2009. The quiet countryside and fresh air provides a serene setting for self reflection and peaceful meditation. In the center of the 515 acres there is a dining hall, meditation hall, library, and two separate girl and boy dorms. This is the perfect setting for BYC because it provides ample space for the fun and exciting activities and the perfect environment for learning about Buddhism.
